This patient with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma had an initial PET scan performed for staging and a follow-up PET scan after chemotherapy
for restaging the disease.
The initial PET scan showed extensive lymphadenopathy as well as suspicious FDG uptake in the spleen.
The follow-up study for restaging showed that the extensive lymphadenopathy had completely resolved. The uptake in the spleen was
no longer identified.
Following chemotherapy PET can be a valuable tool for restaging. In this patient, PET demonstrated the interval resolution of the
disease. |
